About the Irfán Colloquium session #48 (English)

Theme: "Philosophy, Science and the Baha'i Faith"
`IrfÃ¡n Colloquium 2003 will start a series of sessions on the general theme of "Philosophy, Science and the BahÃ¡'Ãi Faith." Those interested in these fields of study are particularly invited to participate. The program will also include presentations on the fundamental belief system and the Scripture of the BahÃ¡'i Faith.
The `IrfÃ¡n Colloquium 2003 (in English) will be held at the Center for BahÃ¡i' Studies in Acuto, Italy, from 10-13 July. It will begin immediately after the Persian sessions of the IrfÃ¡n Colloquium (3-9 July).
The topics to be presented include "Globalization and the BahÃ¡i' Faith," "Confucianism and Modern Chinese Morality," "Divine Philosophy," "Health and Nutrition in the Writings of `Abdu'l-BahÃ¡," "The Approach of Abdu'l-BahÃ¡ to the Problem of Tolerance," "BahÃ¡'u'llÃ¡h's poem Rashh-i `AmÃ¡," "The BÃ¡bis Response to a Question about Lawh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)," "Hadith-i-Kumayl and the BÃ¡bis Commentary thereon," "Lawh-i-IstintÃ¡q (Interrogation) and its historical background," "Long Obligatory Prayer," "Tablets of `Abdu'l-BahÃ¡ in honor of Ibn-i-Asdaqis Daughters," and "The image of Prophet Muhammad in the Writings of `Abdu'l-BahÃ¡."
Mr. Necati Alkan, Dr. Dominic Brookshaw, Mr. Serene Freemantle, Dr. Minoo Foadi, Dr. Stephen Lambden, Dr. Moojan Momen, Dr. Augusto Lopez, Dr. Sholeh Quinn, Dr. Julio Savi, Erfan Sabeti, Mr. Iscander Tinto, and Mr. Ismael Velasco will be among the speakers of this session.
