The journey that leads Abdu'l-Bahá from Alexandria to New York City is marked by the episode happened in Naples that scored in a negative way the beginning of the journey of the Master with his grandson, Shoghi Effendi.Throughout this article I will present the historical context and the relationship between Italy and Turkey at the time, references to the departure, journey and stay in Naples, the Naples episode inserted in the context of the journey of the Master, identifying those who were His companions. Also a brief reference will be made to the Master and His relationship with the Custodian
